Privacy Policy
Not legal advice. This is a plain-English description of what StashGrid actually does with data, written by the site owner. If you operate a site with real revenue or handle data from regulated regions, have a lawyer review your own policy rather than copying this one.

The short version
StashGrid does not ask you for anything. There are no accounts, no logins, no newsletter and no comments. The only thing on the site that collects anything is the contact form, and only if you choose to use it. If you never contact us, we never learn who you are.
What the site stores in your browser
The labs have step checkboxes and a progress bar. Ticking a step saves that progress in your own browser’s local storage so the lab remembers where you got to. That data never leaves your device, is not readable by us, and is not shared with anyone. Clearing your browser data erases it.
Server logs
The site is hosted by Ionos. Like every web host, their servers keep access logs — typically IP address, timestamp, the page requested, and your browser’s user agent. These are standard hosting records used for security and diagnostics, and they are governed by Ionos’s own policies.
Analytics
StashGrid intends to add Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful. When that happens, Google will set cookies and receive usage data including pages visited, approximate location derived from IP, and device and browser details. This section will be updated with the specifics on the day it goes live, and this page is the place to check.
At the time of writing, no analytics are installed and no tracking cookies are set by this site.
Advertising
There are no ads on StashGrid today. If that changes — Google AdSense is the likely route — ad providers set their own cookies to serve and measure ads, potentially including personalised advertising based on your browsing. This page will be updated before any ad code goes live, and will name the provider.
You can review and change Google’s ad personalisation at My Ad Center and opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.
Affiliate links
Some links may eventually earn a commission if you buy something — for example hardware a lab needs, or a paid course. Any such link will be disclosed, and a commission never buys a place in the collection. Entries are here because they were worth keeping.
Links out
Almost every entry points to somebody else’s site. Once you click through, you are on their turf and their privacy policy applies. StashGrid has no control over and takes no responsibility for what other sites collect.
Embedded media
The homepage plays a short video clip served from this site’s own server. It is not embedded from YouTube or any third party, so nothing external is contacted to play it. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives a request from your browser including your IP address.
The contact form
The contact page has a form. It is handled by Formspree, a third-party service: when you submit it, what you typed and the email address you gave pass through Formspree’s servers and are then emailed to the site owner. Formspree keeps a copy for 30 days. The email sits in a Gmail inbox until the message has been dealt with.
Like any web service, Formspree receives the network information that comes with your request, including your IP address, and uses it to filter spam. What Formspree does with that is governed by their own privacy policy, not this one.
Nothing you send is added to a mailing list, used for marketing, or sold or shared with anyone. It is used to reply to you and nothing else. Please do not put anything sensitive in it.
Your rights
Unless you have used the contact form, there is usually nothing to request or delete. If you have contacted us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and it will be — both the email and the copy Formspree holds. For data held by Google, Ionos or an ad provider, their own policies and tools govern access and deletion.
Children
StashGrid is aimed at adults learning security and is not directed at children under 13. No information is knowingly collected from them.
Changes
The date at the top changes when this page does. The two things most likely to change it are analytics and advertising going live, and both will be described here before they do. The contact form was added on 12 September 2026.
